Requirements for regulatory purposes on medical products are recorded in the international standard ISO 13485, which provides the base for the quality management system of Sigma Dental covering all internal procedures.
Sigma Dental Systems-Emasdi GmbH achieved the certification according to ISO 9001:2000 in 1999. ISO 13485 is the medical industry's equivalent of ISO 9001:2000. An audit in February 2009 has given evidence that the quality management system is in compliance with the requirements of ISO 13485.
